| ^I bought some black vinyl inserts for the rear bumper of my Mustang, and they ended up not fitting perfect. I removed em promptly, and was planning to get them painted black. Hopefully yours work out for ya.

![]() I've got a car show to be in on May 17th--I'm running around like mad trying to save up to do some cosmetic work to the Camaro. I'm at a conundrum because I can't restore the interior and paint the exterior AND rebuild the engine before May 17th. I'm fairly certain my engine will last long enough untl then. ![]() SOOOOOOOOO...here's the new short-term plan. ![]()

| 1.6 roller rockers, i think made by comp, but i'm not sure on that front. That along with the ported heads and (???) mystery cam it makes the car pretty zippy.

Mine are full-roller (roller trunion and roller tips) Comp Pro Magnum rockers. Badass rockers. If someone stole them I'd be VERY pissed off, they set me back around $250, so I can definitely feel your anger! ![]()

| April 11, Where i've been, New engine bay and new wheels? Hey guys, sorry i've let this thread slide a bit, but the end of the winter semester is upon me and i just don't have as much time to mess with my car as i'd like. I spent friday spray painting the plastic cover to my throttle body silver, slapping down some letter stickers as a stencil, and painting it black. Some silver paint on the bolts and clearcoat later i have a gimmick-y new engine bay! Also note the stock valve covers to replace my destroyed-in-the-theft "Chevrolet" ones! EDIT: The letters and bolts are a really shiny silver, and my cellphone camera didnt pick them up that well, sorry about that.![]() I don't know if i said this in this thread before, but a big limiting problem with my car is a total and complete lack of traction, my car comes standard with 235 or 245 tires, pretty big compared to a normal car and fine for a stock car, but my built engine makes any throttle input an exercise in .I also liked the look of the Pontiac trans am wheels, they show off more of my drilled slotted brake discs (and really, isn't that the point of fancy brake discs? ) and just look different altogether. So imagine my delight when my friend calls me and tells me he found a set of Trans am WS6 rims, which will allow for wider, stickier rubber and just look cool. Will be talking him down from $300 as much as i can, does anyone know what they are worth without rubber? Generic picture below:Thats all for this update, keep checking back when i post. Good night, and good luck.

| Erm, i havent bought them yet. Depends on how much money i decide to spend and whether he accepts it. Thats what they look like on a trans am. Only mine would be chrome.

Car: 82' Impala, 94' Z28 Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ive always liked those rims but ive always had a hardon for the SLP rims there at summitracing for $740 for all 4 ouch but im getting these within the week most likely they should look good on my car with a 255/45/17 and id say that if the rims your looking into are in good shape. $300 isnt so bad.

Car: 92 Camaro Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The SLP's wont fit on his car. And Dizzle, you've got a V8. You're always gonig to have more power than grip. That's what the throttle is for. There's things you can do to make it launch better, though. The best thing is lower control arm relocation brackets. Keep them stock for corner carving and drop them down for the drag strip and hard launches. But like I said, unless you find a way to put 18 inch wide tires on the back, you're always going to have more power than grip. It's harder for you since you've got a manual. The cutch isnt absorbing some of the shock like a torque converter will. Your best bet is to get some good rubber on it. Have you thought about getting some drag radials?
