I like this one, looks better than the interiors of most American cars. images/smilies/lol.gif

But I gotta say, that is one wicked engine noise for $1800. Almost enough to make me want one of those Camaros. Having said that, it's equally almost enough to make me start a fanbase for Paula Abdul, stop eating red meat and grow yellow flowers as a hobby.

And as a final insult:

Nah, just kidding, man. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Merely an elaborate scheme to make fun of American machinery. Perhaps a failed one at that anyway, I listened to the car again and it does sound mighty good. images/smilies/smile.gif

Where i've been: Well i've been getting a british leyland-class series of car failures, including but not limited to:
  • Broken door hinge, took it off to find what i thought was its replacement doesnt fit
  • A strange misfire that sounds like a plug wire arcing, comes and goes, no light show
  • What seems to be a bent wheel, but i didnt hit anything, i think the tires are forming bulges from dryrot

That combined with my work on the car being less picture-centric (guess what internet? I re-ran my distributor wires! Pics!) and my life becoming dominated with my quest to become a certified Airline Transport Pilot, means updates have slowed down. I'll paint it when i can (one of these weekends) and get more pictures up.

PS, heres a little tidbit/preview:

If you are knee deep in a project car, out of money, time and effort, the natural thing to do is to get another one... Right guys?

dun dun dunnnn....

Its not that one, but one exactly like it (down to the year, color, and stripe color)

I was thinking weird engine swap, like a rotory or a ridiculously torque-y electric motor.

You've offically run into the BS Camaro problems that pushed me to sell mine... images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I've always had a soft spot for the late model GenII F-bodies...

That '80 Camaro would be too heavy for any rotary short of the 20b, which would be waaay too expensive to conisder. Why not a Buick turbo V6? Duramax? images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Naw i was thinking NA 13b, i dont need a ton of power, the top of the line Z28 only makes like 170HP.

But V8's have torque. Rotaries well....don't images/smilies/lol.gif You'll need a bridgey 13B to make it go, or maybe a PP, but then your Camaro will sound like this.

Which I like, obviously. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I think it was 167 images/smilies/tongue.gif

My mom had a 1979 Z28 that we finally sold in 2002. It was red with the 5 spoke rally wheels. It may have been slow but damn, it was good looking.

I am daily driving my camaro now for the first time since mid-august. Wanted to paint it this weekend but i just ended up smoking a lot of dope and racing at the local drag strip (i'm so close to the 11's it hurts)

Maybe next week images/smilies/smile.gif
