There is a car called a "Corolla Rumion"? I'd like to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting. ...

/EDIT BTW - I have a practical car too, does not stop me wanting something better/more fun. I agree with the comment that it looks OK from the front and side but the back looks yew. ... Oh and I slightly prefer the look of the DAIHATSU Materia. Like your colour.

There are plenty of ppl who would have said it looks crap, but they're keeping silent now because everyone is complimenting the car, we both know they're out there on the forums.

anyways the 1st gen is funky looking but i like the style refresh on the 2nd gen, the curves give it a different character but i think its good.

plus having a better choice of engines doesnt hurt either.

I think it looks like crap too actually but it doesn't make it a bad car images/smilies/wink.gif Basically what BCS said images/smilies/smile.gif

Doesn't really matter though, looks are highly subjective my friend thinks my car is absolutely horrible looking because it has 4 doors and doesn't look sporty images/smilies/smile.gif

The Materia is an entirely different car. 1.5 feet shorter and on a different platform. The Materia is the car thet replaced the first generation Toyota bB in Japan (the car that became the Scion xB in America)

Platform and engine wise it has nothing to do with the American "new xB". That one is the Japanese Corolla Rumion.

it's not bad per-se, it's just... missed the mark somehow. it's too big, the C-pillars are terribly chunky and odd and the front grille looks horrible...

I was a fan of the original toastercar too, aside from the lifeless engine and rear drum brakes that is... It was super-easy to slide in and out of, comfortable to do so, even. very pleasant view and all that for such a small car. The thing just kinda swelled up in the ass area and now it's just.... meh.

the tC is their only good vehicle left really. xA was downgraded to xD, and xB was already discussed.

I do wish they'd actually done what they were supposed to do and refresh the lineup more often as opposed to releasing the same thing every year for five years like most car companies.
