Here's the replacement for my last 95 XJR. Story of how it died and I obtained this one is available here.
In these pictures it looks dirty because it is. It was brought straight over from the dealership that had it, and they'd gotten it as a trade-in. The dealer giving it to me as compensation had let their detailer guys go home long before the 4L80E swap was complete, so I told them not to worry about it and took it home as it. I can clean it myself well enough. ![]() Since entirely too many people have been posting cars that really aren't theirs and others have requested that in future people posting high end cars put some kind of identification on them to verify ownership, I thought I'd set an example.

Seriously though, I'm amazed how quickly that got sorted out. Nice one

So just as I'm leaving for work here in Aus your old shit is being ruined. Now, I'm home, I'm eating some Pizza Hut, and here's your replacement! You know how to get things done, lemme tell ya!
The new one looks pretty good. I hope it stays that way! |

Looks like you (and by you I mean the free work comped to you by the dealership) have some work ahead of you. But it's a good starting point
![]() Still sorry to hear about your last car.

Efficient! You're a man who knows how to get things done, that's for sure! Love to see some pictures once it gets cleaned up, good luck.

I'm personally not so sure about the two-tone interior, judging from that one pic the all-black rendition seems better looking.
But still, apart from that it looks like a worthy replacement.

Can you go and rip out the "modifications" from the wreck of the old XJR? Because, you know, you have to modify that one aswell

Almost all of them were in the front and destroyed on impact, alas.

Has anyone else seen that movie called The Big Steal? The events of today have reminded me of it. It is about Jaguars and misfortune.
Anyway, good luck again. I hope this new one turns out to be just as good - no wait - better than the old one. |

Do you have a thread on the old one? What all was done to it?

OK, it's a bit grubby at the moment, but as you say, that's easily sorted - it's clean and together where it counts. It looks like a good place to pick up where you left off. Hopefully you'll get a great deal of pleasure - and better luck - with this one
