Sweet ride. images/smilies/smile.gif

I prefer the older body style but more power I can't argue with. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I hope you're not stuck in the parts I have been in Illinois which are made up of mostly straight, very flat roads. images/smilies/icon_idea.gif

I like the older body style too. I test drove a mint 1990 Red Miata, before I got the MazdaSpeed. It was a great little car, but I wanted more POWER.. images/smilies/tongue.gif

I am actually quite lucky, there are some nice windy roads right by where I live. images/smilies/wink.gif

As far as I know, the Mazdaspeed wasn't available in Europe. Anyway, I love MX-5s/Miatas and yours is great!

The last 2 years of the "NB" Miata (2004-2005) they made a very limited version.

Here is what makes the MazdaSpeed different than the regular Miata:
- IHI Turbocharger with 7.25 psi maximum boost
- Denso air-to-air intercooler
- Short-throw shifter and gear shot-peening treatment
- Bosch torque sensing limited-slip rear differential
- Gas-filled Bilstein shock absorbers with revised valving
- MazdaSpeed Tuned Suspension
- Full MazdaSpeed Bodykit with Smoke finish headlamps
- 17" Racing Hart Alloy Wheels (I wish they were 15")

I also have the optional "LS1" package which includes:
- Black Leather Seats
- Upgraded Cloth Soft Top
- Red Stitching Interior

You also got a Mazdaspeed only steering rack, specifically to fit those damn wheels. The torsen is the same one available as an option on any other miata images/smilies/wink.gif

Nice car, have fun with it.

AFAIK, the Mazdaspeeds are one of the worst for doing that. Besides, they are EXCELLENT cars stock.

Oh, I did not know that about the steering rack.

Gosh I hate those wheels. They are just too big and heavy. They are quality rims, don't get me wrong, 17" and 17lbs is a great thing and they are strong as hell. As soon as I get some money together, (and after I buy an intake). I want 15" rims (and ones that fit over the brakes). images/smilies/cool.gif

If you decide to mod it, don't go crazy. You've got a limited edition car as it is so it'll be worth some change eventually, and it's far cheaper to just get a "regular" NB miata and go balls to the wall with it.

I've got several friends in the local miata community to back that one, one of which had his car fully built by Flyinmiata... and the damn thing still don't run right.
