Default Twerp's '91 Miazda

Here's the new car, bought it yesterday in Fort Wayne.

1991 Mazda Miata MX-5, or Miazda for short. 1.6L DOHC inline-4, 5-speed, New Bridgestone tires (Think they're Potenzas, not sure I hate Bridgestone), New brakes all-around, New front end, struts, springs, the lot, new clutch, new throw-out bearing, Glass rear window, no accidents, 128,000 miles. Really nice car, payed $4,000. Only things wrong, it has two holes in the soft top that need patched, and it will probably need the timing chain replaced sometime in the next ten thousand miles. Oh, there's some ding on the front bumper too.

Other then that the car goes, just sticks to the ground like nobodies business, and changes direction like a housefly on her monthlies. Not particularly fast, but plenty fun. A proper British roadster, built, designed, and engineered in Japan.

You may notice some, errr, ricier modifications to it, the valve caps have already been replaced with black plastic, the floor mats are only still there for the sake of preserving the originals, and the blue APC steering wheel cover was off before I was 20 ft. away from the sellers home. As for the AutoZone sticker side vents, I want to talk to my body guy and see what is the best way to remove them without damaging paint.

Most likely added to weigh down the performance of the Mighty Miata 1.6, good thinking, but I think I can manage.

Needs a little degrease, but for the most part clean.

POP UP HEADLIGHTS FTMFW!

May god have mercy on the soul of whoever put those fake ventiports on. There's only one brand of car that should have ventiports, and that's Buick.

Everytime I see a car with those cheap things on it, it makes me want to wait for the owner so I can kick them in the throat.

Nope. The only cars that look good with those kinds of vents are Mazzers.

Great find! Miata's are simple to maintain, easy to mod and lots of companies make parts for it.
Just get rid of those horrible vents and it's look great!

I hate those fake ventiports! Apart from that, not bad at all. I really like the dials, they just shout business to me, nothing less, nothing more. I'd replace that ugly steering wheel if it were my car.

$4000!!!! I got mine for free! Though my car lacks the cover for the top.

Perhaps I should get around to posting some pics of mine.

The amazing part is it actually came with a properly functioning oil pressure gauge!

Sorry, no. Plymouth had them first in the 30s.

And on the Plymouths, they were functional instead of chrome circles with black paint on them.

I would love to drive a Miata just once, unfortunately I could pass as the American Stig so I can't fit in one, guess thats what my Xbox 360 is for.

My dad is 6'1 and 320lbs and takes mine for a spin once in a while. Biggest problem for him is getting in and out with the top up (it's literally impossible).
