Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello, I am trying to burn Top Gear Season 7 to DVD. I want to watch the videos on my TV and put them on a DVD. I have been able to re-encode the files into a MPEG2 video format but there is never any sound. I have a program that said it is variable sound and needs to be decompressed and then recompressed. I don't know how to do that. I have also found that it is very hard to get the files to fit on a 4.7 Gig DVD disc. I have bought DVD's with 6, 1 hour episodes. Does anyone know of a good encoder that will encode to DVD video? I was using TMPGEnc encoder. Thanks

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Most of the top gears i see are encoded xvid with varible bite rate mp3. You will need to open this file in Vdubmod, go to stream list and select the audio and save as .wav... after that you will have to disable current audio stream and add the .wav file. Now you can save it with standard audio stream. I'm not sure but TMPGenc has a "muxer" meaning you may beable to at least add the saved .wav file into your mpeg2. That said you should try and use mpeg1 as mpeg2 will only add to the size of the file and not contribute anything to the quality. Therefore you could fit more onto the dvd @ a higher biterate |
