Default Mininova has gone down?

there are 1 seeds and 0 leechers for the 10x08 episode - per the mininova webpage...

http://www.mininova.org/tor/1025236

as of 2007-12-03 02:40Z

i don't know if there's anything to be done - i just wanted to put the word out.
also - looking at the Top Gear section for mininova, it appears like there are only a tiny handful (sub 1000) people that are connected right now... this also leads me to believe there's a mininova problem.

i wonder if the BBC has raided them (ha ha only serious)

Final Gear should have a private tracker, if you ask me - that folks have to pony up for... i'm in.

Those numbers are cached. Note how on Mininova it says "Last Updated: 4 hours ago".

And I think you're confusing Mininova with The Pirate Bay. Mininova is just a search engine, like Google. We DO have our own trackers. 3 of them infact.

cock.

for some unbeknownst reason, everything just started working after 45 minutes of nothing happening, getting "tracker not found" errors, etc. rebooting my DSL modem, etc...

that's really weird... normally, i wouldn't put something like this up - but i was sure i'd never seen mininova show seed numbers that low before.

oh well, i'll shut up, go back to working on my project, and let the love download in the background.

btw: is there a place to donate to finalgear.com for everything that they do? Or something one can do in order to give back everything it gives us colonials that have to use it to get our TG fix?

The trackers are currently overloaded, so if you're unable to connect to them, don't fret. DHT will take care of it.

And donate is in the works. images/smilies/smile.gif

They are just overloaded. We're working on getting funds for a forth tracker which we'll be probably using as primary.

Only if you're connected to like 2 people right now. Trackers only give you lists of people to download from.

I was connecting to a shit load of ppl. But the speed was a different story.... 10kb/s wasnt exactly what u'd expect from a 5mb lineimages/smilies/mad.gifimages/smilies/mad.gif

I started downloading within the first hour after the torrent file was uploaded, only finished about 20min ago. As you would expect, im pretty bummed with my utorrent, and i cant figure out why its so slow, so i will just have to get used to this every Sunday. images/smilies/mad.gif

Why don't you head back to the other thread where everybody tried to help you out, instead of jacking another one...

just tried their homepage

got this

An error has occurred images/smilies/sad.gif

This page will refresh itself after 10 seconds. This should hopefully solve the problem (more information here).

You can also return to the Mininova home page.

Update Nov 20: we are experiencing big problems with our servers... it will take some time to solve this. Sorry for the inconvenience.
