Default My connection is having issues

http://www.broadbandreports.com/foru...7314~mode=flat

Any ideas? images/smilies/sad.gif

Essentially, once I open BT or eMule, programs that make lots of connections, the Internet no longer works for new connections (my browser, connecting to the tracker, checking my e-mail, etc.).

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

It happened again, so I checked the logs in "Event Viewer":

TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.

So what can I do to disable this in XP SP2? I hear there's some program that can do this.

I think this one MIGHT have done the job: ยปwww.lvllord.de/

Time will tell.
Well it didn't work. Still having issues with having large numbers of connections open.

For example, I can browse the Internet just fine with DC++ open, but not if eMule or Azureus is open. What really gets to me is that after a few moments of having Azureus open (after it starts making lots of connections), it can no longer connect to any trackers to update it's peer/seed list. Same goes for eMule and connecting to a different hub.

Perhaps it's my router or my modem, you think?
has the " TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts." error occurred ever since?

Nope.

I think I may just format. I'm having sound issues now too. Dunno if it was related to that patch or what.

For the moment, everything is working as it should. Azureus is open and yet I can browse the web just fine. I don't have mIRC open as I usually do. Think it could be that? images/smilies/wacko.gif

And I fixed the sound issue, so I'm gonna give this some more work before I fall back on formatting. images/smilies/wink.gif

I take that back. After a while, my Internet stopped working. I'm thinking it made more connections and then died.

I'll try turning the number of connections way down in Azureus.

What about netwerk problems/maintenance on your ISP's part. Have you called 'em or checked their website?

Hmm, you know, it could be that... images/smilies/think.gif Whenever I have Azureus or whatever open, and I can't surf the Internet, neither can my dad on his computer.

Why didn't I think of this?!?! D'Oh
