Default No image on 2004.21.11 Top Gear Episode!

Hello guys.

Sorry for bothering you.

But, I recently downloaded the Top Gear 2004.21.11 Episode, and I am facing a Problem:

THE VIDEO DOES HAVE THE SOUND, BUT...WHERE'S THE IMAGE?!

Just in case you guys want to know, I downloaded the episode through the Bit Tornado and I Have Real Player.

What should I do?!

Best Wishes. images/smilies/smile.gif

Download a codec pack like this one http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm and it should work.

You need the XviD video codec: http://files.viper007bond.com/software/latest-xvid.exe

All of this is covered in the FAQ: http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=56 images/smilies/bangin.gif

BTW - Real Player sucks ass. images/smilies/wink.gif

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

I Already have the this XviD Video Codec, because you recommended, for those who had problems, with the Top Gear Episode of 2004.12.26.

I Tried to download one of Dvix Codec Video, you suggested, and the download cannot be completed.

2004.12.26 should be a XviD video, not a DivX, but it's worth having DivX if you don't already. This the link I gave you? http://www.divx.com/divx/download/

Yup, it is.

I finally downloaded the DivX, and now the video is working perfectly.

Thank You Mr. Viper!

This is weird - I can't play the file too! All other files I played is fine.. and yes, I have got KLCodec installed (DIvx, XViD, etc) and I can't play this file.

Gspot says it is fine and media player classic can't play it either. Also tried DIVXFIX and another repairer, says it is fixed, but still can't play the video! I only hear the sound.

From the above posts, I have to install divx?? But KLCodec already have got DIVX codec in it.. and I don't want to install another DIVX to clutter up my system.. any ideas?

How can it be divx.. when Gspot says its an XVID?

I'm just gonna post it how I manage to view it (for other peeps that might have the same problem in the future):

Use VideoLan media player. It is the smallest lightweight media player (that I know of) and plays anything and everything, including streams. I think there could be some mixed up encoding/header/codec problem in this specific video, but videolan sorts it out.

Download VideoLan media player here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
