Default PAL > NTSC conversion: OS X

I'm using OS X and Toast Titanium 7 to burn Top Gear onto DVD's.

Problem is, converting from PAL to NTSC takes hours and hours. Also, my processor really works overtime, generating more heat with a constantly running fan.

Is there a quicker/better way to do the conversion than within Toast 7?

You could buy a DVD player that plays DivX/XviD files. That way you could just burn the .AVI files to a blank disc (CD/DVD) and not have to convert anything.

That would be the way I would go too - well it is the way I have gone actually.
