You can re-size images with HTML, but you can't with BBCode (it just changes the resolution, it doesn't make the file size any smaller).

If you are on a Windows machine, you have MSPaint on your computer. Just use it to make the images smaller and save them as JPEGs. 800x600 or smaller won't break the H-scroll on the forum.

Also reduce the dpi to 72. It reduces file size & is only suitable for viewing on screen.

You need to wrap it in a BBCode 'code' tag.

If you put (code) (/code) on either side of that (with square brackets, not round brackets) it should work (I think).

Edit: By the way, I wouldn't even bother trying to post pictures like that. Just resize them in MSPaint (it takes all of 5 seconds) and post them that way.

A - This would be the correct HTML:

Code:
[img]http://users.telenet.be/bone/banshee/HPIM1315.JPG[/img]
B - HTML doesn't work on most forums. images/smilies/wink.gif

bone's html is just fine too btw, actually opening <img> tag and not closing is not at all recommended, it's a bad practice by lazy developers made popular by IE's notorious tolerance for all garbage that calls itself html images/smilies/smile.gif
same with
(should be
) and other tags. In short all tags should be closed images/smilies/smile.gif

^ Ya, that is the way you should do any thumbnails\image posting.

Make 2 copies of the image (one small, one full-size) and link them that way. It doesn't break the H-scroll, it saves people a big download, and still gets your point across. images/smilies/smile.gif
