Default Problems with torrents affecting internet

This is a weird problem and has been affecting me ever since i got my new computer. Whenever I try to use a torrent program (doesn't matter which one), it kills my net and I can't browse at all. It's like I'm not connected to the internet at all, EXCEPT, I can still play WoW while torrenting, I can still use MSN, and my torrents are all healthy. I just can't use the web.

Anyone know what's going on?

Lower the number of max connections in your client (to like 75-100).

You'll also probably want to deal with Win XP SP2's stupid half-open limit: http://torrentfreak.com/optimize-you...ownload-speed/

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.
