Car: Hyundai Tiburon Rep Power: 0   |  Slow downloads I've been seeing that my downloads with Utorrent take longer than they use to, I expected the new topgear episode (may 7th) to download pretty quickly, but its been 12 hours and haven't finished yet. The speed is very unstable. sometimes it stays at 40 then 60 then back to 0. I have done the port fordwarding and Utorrent worked better since. (that was about 6 months ago. I have configured my setings to the 384k since my conection is 768k. Should I tweak it so I can get better results? My torrent properties in U torrent are the following global maximum connections 150 maximum number of peers per torrent 80 number of upload slots per torrent 4 maximum number of active torrents 3 maximum number of active downloads 2 on the other settings I have everything checked exept Append .!lut to incomplete files. I don't really know if there is something wrong I just feel things are downloading slower now, I expected the TG episode to be downloaded already. Is it my anxiety to see the new top gear or is there something I can do to speed my downloads? EDIT: also is there a way to quickly configure Utorrent so I can still download (at slower speeds) but not hog all my connection? Can't really surf the internet and my MSN goes dead if I have U torrent running

Car: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5L Rep Power: 39 | Oh okay. Remember you put your upload connection into the speed wizard thingy. What sort of speed are you uploading at? Those wizard things usually set your upload limit higher than what is effective so that you are being nice and sharing your bandwidth with others. The reality is - you gotta impose a tight-arse limit so it doesn't hurt your download speed. So what are you UL'ing at?

Car: Hyundai Tiburon Rep Power: 0 | Roger... brb hehehe EDIT: that did it man, the connection is now sable and in the 70k mark  Do you have any suggestions on a quick way to configure Utorrent so it doesn't hog all my connection, while still downloading (yes I don't expect 70 mark downloads)?
