They are getting better... This is deffinatelly better then the first ep. Wanted to let you guyz know that .srt doesnt work for some reson in BS-Player. VLC works fine tho. Big ups for the translation aswell. Russian language is one the more sofisticated languages of the world, and im pleased to see that the translation is bang on. Tho the jokes etc loose their flair when translated from Russian. I think this show is going to get pretty huge in Russia, not that sure about the rest of the world tho. And omg the cool wall (lol), only Russians will understand the reasoning behind that..
Russian women, mmmh, i really do miss Russia sometimes images/smilies/wink.gif

First time user of MPC and I can’t get the subtitles to work either.images/smilies/sad.gif
I have downloaded the avi & srt files from Hotcooler’s FTP OK, they have the same name.

Using Media Player Classic – Homecinema Ver 1.2.908.0
Running on Windows/XP:

Using TechZ suggestion.

Result:
1. Video plays perfectly
2. Sound is plays perfectly
3. No subtitles.

1) In the options screenshot above (with Output page selected) in zone named "DirectShow Video" you should choose something with ** (VMR7 or VMR9) because, as you can see in the bottom of the same page, there is written "** Required for loading subtitles". And they mean it. Why is this not default option... I leave this question open for MPC creators.

used VMR7 Renderless

2) Subtitle file name should be the same as name of the video file you are planning to watch (of course file extension will be different). Otherwise you have to specify subtitles file manually from MPC menu.

They are

3) If you have duplicated subtitles then it means that you probably have "K-lite codecs pack" which comes with "Direct VOB sub". Direct VOB sub is automatically adding subtitles to any video in any player if it finds corresponding subtitle file (with the same name as video). Direct vob sub tray icon should appear during video playback and after clicking on it you should see some options, where most interesting option is "Hide subtitles". Another option is to disable subtitles in MPC.

No they are OK - not duplicated
Using dem1urg solution with VMR 7 Renderless (for XP)
Result:
1. Video is screwed up with weird colours and lines
2. Sound is plays perfectly
3. Subtitles play perfectly

* * *
So, both the video and subtitles work OK just not together and I think it’s just a click or two away from sorting this.

(I may try with VLC, but its not on my system presently and VLC & me haven’t always got on in the past.images/smilies/lol.gif)

Use the directVobsub method, it always works for me flawlessly, just be sure to open the tray icon and set the subs to on.

Hi all, I doubt the answer is no, but there any way to get the TG-R to play on an Xbox 360 with Subs? I got a feeling It wont read any sub fiel type, so is there a program that will embed the subs onto the frames?

Thanks
