Default What am I doing wrong
I have BT but when i try to download a video the vid doesnt even start downloading .

Does ti happen with every torrent, or just one? It happens sometimes where they just never start...don't know why...but I'm not a novice user. If it happens on every one then you probably have an issue.

If you could supply us with some more info as follows:

Which BitTorrent client do you use?
Do you have a router?
Which firewall software do you use?
Which site are you grabbing the video from? Public/Private?
Can you see people seeding the torrent?

Any more info would be ideal, and then we can try to help.

There are guides by the way that should help you get underway. Especially pay attention to port forwarding on your router

I dont think so
Allow utorrent access through the firewall, and then if you go to www.portforward.com, and follow the tutorials for forwarding ports, I think you may see and end to this issue. Try it, and let us know.

Hey Supranoob, are you using your bittorrent at home or school/work. If its at home then there's hope. If not bittorrent is probably blocked by a proxy server.

Also, try downloading a whole bunch of torrents and see if any of them download. Maybe there's no one seeding (if you don't know what seeding is then you are such a damn noob) the video.
