Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I know the Top Gear files are twice as large, but my D/L rates on BT are only about .5kb/s to 1kb/s whereas for Fifth Gear I frequently get 3kb/s. Perplexing... |

| The Other Half Of This Site | no reason, more people sharing on TG, less on FG, anyway depends on your connection

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | My on a school internet connection which isn't slow at all. Most file downloads go at 400-600kb/s. The files seems to come in spurts w/ overnight being the best times. I may get a tiny 5% during the daytime, but some nights I'll wakeup and find an additional 25% has been downloaded. FG d/l speeds have been great. I watched that episode last Wednesday, so it only took 2 days or so. However, the newest TG episode (w/ the Enzo ) is currently at 85% and I've been downloading it for about a week or so.I'm still eternally grateful that VUK and ViperBond007 are doing this for everybody, but I just wanted to see if what I was experiencing was the norm or not. |

| VIP | ^ Definetly not. I always download episodes at a constant rate of 200kb\sec no matter what it is (200kb\sec is the cap on my connection). I've never had a problem getting an episode. |

| Wants Rick Astley's Babies | Hmm, I always have lets say 25 - 110 kb/s from the torrents of this site... Never takes longer than an hour till I'm just seeding... Maybe your ISP, Desktop Firewall, or a Router? And as mentioned at another place here, if you are uploading at your full speed some data packages that are necessary for the DL cannot be sent... Limit your upload speed to something around 80 - 95 % of the max UL speed... Buba

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | its definately the school's firewall... it will probabely only allow outgoing connections on port 21, 80, and perhaps 7000, 7070, 8000, 8080. You cant do anything about it, except for finding ports that work and convincing fellow leechers (and seeders) to use it... it everybody who has an ISP that does allow incoming traffic on port 80 would use it with Bittorrent, i think you should get speeds like 50KB/s down average...
