Car auctions in NY/NJ/Conn. area?

Can you guys recommend any good used car auctions (open to public) in the tri-state area? I know someone who is looking to spend around $5000 on a Honda/Toyota in a few weeks time. Thanks.

Check http://www.importfanatix.com/ its a local auto forum they have stuff for sale and might have info on where auctions are. Also check http://www.tristatetuners.com/ they are local as well.

I don't have any leads on auctions for you, but if you do find some you may want to call ahead and make sure that they'll sell to anyone. I'm not sure if it's just a state thing, but here most auctioneers will only sell to a certified car salesman or whatever.
