Mmmm... Excellent idea. We can tell them about how he's the one that banged up their car then too.

Well...if you put them on their side, like the blocks would be used in a wall, with the openings on the top an bottom, you'd most likely be alright. Put a flat plank of wood as a platform on the top, maybe. Cement/concrete has incredible compression strength.
That said...it can still crack when it's not in a wall, with the load not very evenly distributed, especially when all of the pressure comes from a knife-edge blade of steel. Yeah, it sounded stupid at first, but got stupider and stupider the more I thought about it.

I didn't use it to hold the car up; I had it on jack stands.
I figure it the jack stands would hold up ( I had the car on 4 7-ton jack standst, but I also had some cinder blocks lying around from the construction work being done around the house and stuck them under the front floor jack point. It wasn't holding the car up, but I figure if I had them and I was working under a car I might as well put it there to have it serve as a just as an "oh shit" measure. I didn't have to stay under the car for too long; I just went under and pulled the oil drain plug out. The oil filter was near the front-right wheel well so I took it out from there. Slightly off-topic.
Mobil One Synthetic is the way to go. It's amazing to see the car warm up in like 2 seconds. |

Why not just get an oil change at a mechanic for $30?

Ok, time for my initiation. Dude your car deserves a better driver. You treat your car worse than Wayne Brady treats his bitches.

It's not his car, it's his parents. They bought and paid for it and let him drive it, yet he keeps calling it "his" car. This is just the tip of the iceberg, he has a LONG history of damaging it or doing stupid things in it and refusing to take responsibility for his actions.

first off, soccer moms don't jack up cars, they call roadside assistance, second of all have you ever seen a woman who wasn't a car nut even try to change a tire? those notches don't do anything to help anyone. don't kid yourself. Third off, the VQ35DE's oil filter in a FWD layout is accessible by turning the wheels all the way to the right and moving the splash-guard in the wheel well out of the way. no REAL jacking needed, at least not for the murano. Besides, there's a mount for the subframe right behind the front suspension that works better for a jackstand. Try not to win a Darwin award mmkay?
