^ I did a tear down on a 305 out of an old Pontiac from the late 70s... when I got down into the crank case the bolts had so much gross old burnt oil on them... that stuff smelt horrid.

Oh definitely worse smelling stuff (butyric acid comes to mind images/smilies/puke.gif) but changing the stuff would be so much easier if I didn't have to spend 5 minutes with the smell while siphoning it out of the supercharger.
