FTFY. Impressively clean, lowish miles; probably as close as you're going to come to your unicorn for a while. A week or two either way with the miata/jeep wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...

Oh, I generated plenty of smoke trying to jump a loose connection to ground before figuring out the terminal block the wire broke from was actually a capacitor!<_<derp

I'll have to see if I can dig up any pictures of it... The plastic is the most delightful shade of pink after 26 years in the sun. You're right on the steel though, good ol' galvanizing. Hearsay on my part based on what I'm told by the one doing the refreshing.

My first thought would have been to always dismiss Canada, but 90 miles brings the break even/risk assessment closer than I'd have thought. But that's it's a bit easier to make the decision considering

I'm up for giving it a shot this year. Sounds like a better chance of meeting up rather than last year's "constant distance from each other maintaining position in the parade circling up and down the strip". Still fun, but a different experience... Also, for whatever reason, I got a major case...

At 2300 lbs, and with its short gearing and rev happy engine, I wasn't ever left wanting with mine, though, in modern context, it's certainly not the fastest car.

Foam core? You could probably do a pretty decent job laying it up like CF. I'll second the boat builder/repair. One of my friends picked up a bumper roll of glass ~6'x10' for $20. Too short to make a boat, but plenty for the skateboards he was making at the time. Leveraging their experience...

Just one: Can't say I've seen this matte gunmetal before. It's pretty. Also, probably a pain to clean. After thought. Reverse is even more of a workout to get into than BMW's...

I'm supposed to be able to tear one down and put it back together in less than a minute? ...That looks to be more complicated than I've been led to believe.
