    [24x04] March 26th, 2017 - Chiron vs everything

The reason, I would say from my modest insider knowledge, is time. EG is recorded when TG ends. By that point the audience has been there from 12 in the afternoon and TG usually doesn't wrap until 5-6. Then they shoot EG with the same crew and bits of the audience. So they don't have a lot of...

Well, it sort of is, given that he has a name and you could easily have written it.

    New TopGear track?

They#ve been trying to do this since I was working on Top Gear. The political climate has changed a lot since then, we have a worsening housing crisis and new houses have to be built. That said, I think it's a bit of a shame, but houses are a lot more profitable than semi-disused airfields.

I honestly don't care. You've got little constructive to say beyond "it's brilliant" and moaning about everyone else's opinion. I do try to be fair, I've always been quite clear about my affiliation - and do bear in mind I worked on the show for quite a while when CMH were on it, I've had no...

    [1x07] December 30th, 2016 [Namibia Special, Part 1]

I actually didn't mind this episode too much, I rated it highly as a result. It was somewhat of a return to form. The cars were clearly professionally built, so there was no real stupidity involved. I sort of thought Clarkson's V8 was daft, but I guess it fits his "POOOOWARH" persona. These two...

Yeah, and I could give you a lump of shit with The Grand Tour painted on it and you'd give it 10/10.

Except that I have a feeling the reason there's no SIARPC or celeb interview is becasue the BBC lawyers (or, perhaps, Amazon's out of fear) told them they couldn't do it. The celeb death is a way around that. But I can't prove that and I don't know for sure.

Do you remember how people on here used to PLEAD with them to stop saying "and on that bombshell". This is that. I suspect the celeb thing will go on forever.

I'll almost certainly watch both for the foreseeable future. The good thing is - no one has to chose one or the other, which is what the morons seem to forget. - - - Updated - - - You've nailed it. That's EXACTLY what they should have done and it would have played to James' strengths rather...

Star In Rallycross Car AXED From Top Gear

Danny Baker is a package deal with Chris Evans. He was never going to stay when Chris went. - - - Updated - - - The rallycross idea was good, the whole star segment was absolutely not good.

History Channel gives Top Gear USA the axe

Wait, so people who have been together for eight seasons, and about 72 episodes have produced a more polished show than a group together for six episodes. How entirely unexpected.

Attended the GT Nashville taping today. (no spoilers)

I used to marhall at low-level Rallying in the UK, the 6R4 was always a source of much hillarity. It's a bonkers little car that one - amazed one made it to Nashville!

Ah yes, internet voting. That truly secure and ungamable format for gathering public opinion. And yes, IMDB, the Amazon owned site. Some wonderfully bias-free sources there. If you look on Twitter, Facebook etc you will find a plethora of very angry young men who are furious that the "libtards...

It's funny how the world works!

As many of you know, I finished my time on Top Gear in 2006 when the show was still off because of Richard's accident. Today I've been invited back to see the recording of episode one of the new series. Like many of you, I was a fan first and an employee second. Now I get to go and enjoy a green...

    Matt le Blanc as co-host?

Episodes shoots in the UK anyway, so it could work well with the TG schedule. S1 of new, new Top Gear is probably only 6 episodes too, so that's not exactly a full shooting schedule for the seven presenters.

They're dreadful at it. Too many managers, and the public service remit means they make decisions they "think" are right, but might actually be dreadful. - - - Updated - - - Yellow, obviously. - - - Updated - - - Meat. Steak probably.

Hi, remember me :) I wrote that. The twitter account is clearly fake, and I suspect set up by someone who wants to shut the BBC down. Anyway, love you all, feel free to ask me stuff.

This episode was a good example of what's wrong with the show. And also, what's not wrong with it. It's the same old thing, some people like the silly bits, some people don't. But what's true, is that if they kept the fakery out of the silly bits, it would be a lot more appealing across the...
