Cool to hear the Coyotes are playing their hearts out at a time when they need to.

I want to fly out and catch a game or two in Phoenix.

I'm going to ask this because I didn't watch the game, just saw the highlights. Was it a chippy game before that?

And what was it like to watch half the Rangers roster going after the Canucks like that? Talk about old time hockey.

It was a rather tame boring game for 2 periods with the Canucks controlling a majority of the play.

Apparently Gaborik was made ineffective by the Canucks' checking, so he took it out on Kesler by crosschecking him in the face to start this bruh-ha-ha...and injected the necessary emotions for a great 3rd period!

And because of 1994, all Canucks fans reserve a special hatred for the New York Rangers...

Arragh...the NHL needs to work on their officials. 3 times in the last week I've seen absolutely putrid penalty calls made or clear penalties not called that have affected the result of 3 Coyotes games.

Thursday vs. Montreal- Coyotes lead 2-1 and have a power play. Referee watching from behind sees Coyotes player and Canadians player skating next to each other towards the corner. Coyotes player has his stick parallel to the ice in front of the opponent, but it was not tugging on the player and holding him up. Referee still calls a hooking penalty on the Coyotes. Canadians score on the 4-on-4 time and on the power play. Canadians win 4-2.

Monday vs Tampa Bay- There were a few here, but the most blantant one was a trip that wasn't called on Tampa that resulted in a turnover, which led to the game winning goal. Tampa won 4-1.

Tonight at St Louis- A Coyotes breakaway was stopped by an elbowing penalty behind the play. The Coyotes player didn't throw the elbow, it was just up when he was checked. They also called a hooking penalty on the Coyotes... and the stick never even touched the Blues player. Game was tied 2-2 when both incidents happened. Blues won 3-2 in OT.
