My poor Chiefs.... if they make it to 8-8 this year I will be a happy camper. I muse say I liked what I saw against a tough Ravens team, but this week will be the real test. They have had a week to get their crap together, so let's see if they can pull off a divisional win. Last I checked the line was Chiefs -3, so that is good news.

If it was not for all the Niner-Pack games of the late 90s-early 00s I would be rooting for them. But I still remember those games, so, screw them I hope Rodgers get hurt =(

Well, today's Texans/Titans game ended up needing Don King to promote it. David Ball got ejected in the 3rd, about 20 or so Texans tried to beat up Cortland Finnegan and a couple Titans, there was trash talking and shoving after every play. And Titans lose 31-34.

Can we reschedule the season so Tennessee and Houston play every week?

I'm just glad I wasn't going against Chris Johnson in my fantasy game, 45 freaking points is nuts.

GO 9ERS!!!!!

All of the "experts" at ESPN had Seattle beating us by a touchdown or so... You think Singletary would be cool with that? Hell effin no.

Some people will say the 9ers won because Hasselbeck didn't play in the 2nd half... Yeah...cause we knocked him out.

Honestly...I haven't been this excited about a 9ers team since...98 probably.

Singletary does not take any shit. And if you play for him YOU HIT PEOPLE. HARD. I love it.

That and Gore was just amazing today. Though if we want to win next week at Minnesota our passing game does need a bit of work.

I am with you, Gore is epic. I mean he tied a record set by Barry Sanders.. Barry Fucking Sanders. Not even AP could touch that .

But our passing game needs more then a bit of work, it needs to be thrown out the window. Yeah Hill wins game, but he is a manger. And talking about how I remember the old Niners, I remember the old, pass happy Niners and want that back in a way. Smith was not as much as a bust, but a product of the shitty team that was called the Niners at the time. Nolan could not make up his mind about what he wanted to eat for breakfast much less what he wanted out of his QB.
So our hope is we have two 1st round picks next year, and from all indications we are going to have a top 10 pick thanks to Carolina. And even if its not top 10, we can trade up to grab a top pick or a QB a team might not want (McNabb maybe...)

Well, the Panthers still suck a dick. Delhomme is so fucking terrible god damn it.

The Ravens rocked shit though. Ray Lewis is a fucking beast. AFC East is Raven's country

And the Giants beating the Cowboys at home in front of 105,000 fans made my week.

Finally, Holy Shit the Bears/Texans/Bengals/Jets WON. Wow

The Texans wasn't really a surprise to win. If you look back, no matter how good or bad a team is doing in the AFC South, most divisional games are close. I know that happens in every division, but it seems like it's more pronounced when Tennessee, Houston, Indianapolis and Jacksonville all get together for a fight.

If Hasselbeck is out for anything more than 1 week, it's a 2 team race in the NFC West- Niners and Cardinals. First team to 10 wins, wins.

Arizona couldn't muster 10 wins with epic injuries to the Hawks, a bad Rams, and a building 9ers. How on earth will they do that this year? If the Hawks are out of it, it's the 9ers.

Football is a physical game. You hit people. Hard.

There's a reason why you hit people hard. You don't go out and try and break someone's leg on purpose, but if you're trying to deny the overall animosity and ferociousness of American football... well..

I don't really know what else to say.

I can tell you that the 49ers defense didn't shed a tear when they took Hasselbeck out of the 2nd half. If you think otherwise then you haven't heard Mike Singletary talk all too much.

I'm glad Hasselbeck is ok for the most part. I don't want to see anyone seriously injured...but if they get taken out for the one game we play them and it helps us win? Well...I guess that's football

No one's denying the level of play in the NFL, but there's a difference between celebrating a good hit, and celebrating a hit that causes injury.

No, they didn't shed a tear, but do you think they felt good about it? If you think so, try looking at them during the delay next time, you'll probably find them kneeling in a huddle praying for him.

1- I'm not saying either team will get to 10 wins. In fact, I don't think either will. But if it does happen, the division is theirs.

2- The Cards didn't get to 10 wins last year because they went 6-0 in the division and locked things up Thanksgiving weekend. They didn't have to play hard all of December. I mean it's not their fault that the whole division sucked more than a freaking porn star.

As I said I don't like seeing someone seriously hurt either.

Someone getting taken out for the rest of the game and returns the next week? It's a different story.

I think you're categorically denying why people hit hard on defense.

Pushing people out of bounds instead of really hitting them apparently worked for Deion Sanders...so why don't they all do that then?
