at the moment my cpu is the bottleneck (at least for UT3)
i'll test how my video card performs with a new cpu before spending 250€ on a 8800GT

I bought an 8800GT a while back, but my mobo was too old to support it, so it went home!

My comp is crap too. You do have more RAM than me though.
I will not even try the test. Specs are:
Intel CPU @ 2.66GHz
512RAM.... quite possibly DDR1
40GB HDD
Graphics card... errr... no idea it is integrated and good for nothing.
Age? About 3years.

There's your problem right there. You don't have a video card. My mom has onboard video (no video card), but it at least has a nVidia chip on the board. Basically, it's a built in video card that uses the system's RAM, but it's own GPU.

Yours however uses the CPU, system RAM, etc. IMO, it'd be worth investing like $50 in a cheap video card. It'll help a lot if you play any games.
