Default ADSL2 Modem / Router advice

I will be going from a 20/0.512 cable connection with 35gb download limit images/smilies/shakefist.gif to a unlimited 12/1 ADSL connection. images/smilies/thumbup.gifimages/smilies/love.gifimages/smilies/wicked.gif

Soooo I need a new modem images/smilies/smile.gif
Any advice on what I should buy?

My home setup is:

- 2 desktop computers (wired)
- 2 laptops (wireless)
- xbox 360 (wired)

I do allot of torrents/http downloads, so I need it to not choke on that images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Budget doesn't really matter that much. (preferably under 150 euros images/smilies/smile.gif )

Hopefully you have a Gbit switch for the wired part? Router life is always affected by the network usage, especially if it daily reaches GBs

I dont. But the laptops i just use for some surfing now & then. I mainly use them for my job.
Only one of the desktops uses allot of bandwidth (download rig), and the x360 is only the occasional demo (I hadn't switched it on for 1,5 months before I bought GTA IV images/smilies/lol.gif)

Can't IRC on that.

Dommel Netconnect. Belgacom is giving access to the adsl2 network.
There's a 100gb limit, but if you take the boostpack you get 150gb, and after that you're placed on mediumband. (which is the same speed images/smilies/smile.gif)

And just now Telenet upped it's limits...funny thing is that with the special deal I got, i'm above the new limits for a lower price! images/smilies/smile.gif

I hate to be with Telenet, but for 39 euros/month, I think 20mbit/1mbit with 65gb is a very good deal. And the quality of the Telenet line is superb.

/edit: I heard Siemens modems are good? Some people say good things about SMC, but i had one SMC modem/router and it was completely shit
//edit: seems like Dommel didn't update their website yet...

They wont update it till July. New speeds only become available then.
I work for the source images/smilies/tongue.gif so I know for sure it will happen. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Yeah telenet updated their limits, to a measily 20gb or 60gb for 61 euro images/smilies/blink.gif, and they stopped that trick that allowed you to reset the counter.
So telenet is history for me.

I btw ordered a Linksys am200 bridged combined with a wrt54gl (on which i'll put Tomatoimages/smilies/smile.gif)

Unlimited downloading here I come images/smilies/smile.gif

I used to work for Scarlet ADSL.
As a field tech & as tech support.

I have my reasons to go for the Belgacom reseller images/smilies/lol.gif

Btw Dommel has the same sort subscription for the same price, (VOIP instead of VoDSL).
With unlimited downloading.
