Car: SEAT Ibiza LPG ;) Rep Power: 65 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello! I need some help finding out, what chip my PS2 got. It´s a V4 SCPH-3004, the chip was installed ~july 2004 and was ~50€ I think. On the two chips, it reads: CY37128VP100 83AC 0250 B 16 651946 Atmel AT27LV512A 70TC 0221 I have to hold the Power Button until the blue LED lights up to play normal movie DVDs.....and somehow I can´t play DVD-R images, so I want to know if the chip is the problem or the DVD-Rs ....... ![]() ![]() I found out, it MAY be a Sniper 2 ... but nothing definite. If you know a good forum to ask, please tell me ![]() Thanks for help! If it is updateable, where can I get some updates? |

| I am unsure of the type of chip I have in mine but it sounds much the same you just rset the machine to play games and hold the button in to read DVD's. I have exactly the same problem one day it was working the next it wasn't, like no type of warning. My guess is it is the laser rather than the chip itself. Mine won't read a damn thiung. | |

| You know you want me.. | All media is different. Even across multiple brands of dvd-r media, they use different dyes, which reflect the light back at different strengths. Also, your dvd-burner may not be burning the discs in a high enough quality. The Xbox360 is like that, as it only reads dual-layer discs from memorex/verbatim(ritek), and highly prefers pioneer dvd-burners.
