Apple Ipod Protection Plan

hey i got mine like end of last year and think its a great deal, do u guys have it?

its not a "GREAT" deal, but if you need to get the battery replaced in your ipod, it makes life easier, because apple will replace it as part of the service plan. I have it but have not yet had any problems with my iPod, but I also got the student discount price on the protection plan so it was a relatively cheap way to ensure I have no problems with my iPod.

really how much is it for a student? i never heard of the student price in hong kong. they should charge the students more in business theory coz their the ones that fuck em up the fastest lol.

btw how do u know the link for the activation on the internet? i did a paper copy at the apple center but they havent sent me shit all for it.

however they say its ok as long as u got the orginal receipt for the proteciton plan. but still i want some paper work for it after i paid for this stuff.

it was 440 in HK and i think tis a great deal coz u cant even get a mp3 with 512mb for that price and everytime u trash ur ipod u know u can get a new one.

recently i pushed the wrong button and my laptop became the main computer for songs so i got pissed and chucked my ipod on the floor like 5 times and the previous button broke...so i went to the ipod care center and they gave me a new one with headphones straight away and no questions asked even though the bits shoke around like a dog wagging its tail

I would love to have an iPod but I can't afford onel. Whenever I hear about people with iPods who treat them so poorly I get quite enraged. I'd give you a smack if you weren't in Hong Kong.

what u should do is by a second hand one which is less than 1 year old and trash it and then bring it to the apple shop and they will give u a new one with head phones which is cool

no their not...in HK u dont ge store warenty. the plan was very cheap i cant remember exaclty but it was around 440. andrewhui got it with me the same time so ask him. for 440 HKD u cant get shit and i dont need to take care of my ipod or worry about it which is great.

plus the store could reject u while apple care center wont

not really overpriced compared to other products on the market. i mean if i want big storage mp3 which has like 1 g it still costs alot more than a ipod or like 200 bucks less. so why not get a ipod?

i mean the qualtiy and customer service is much better as well.

I personally hate the Ipod and its like 100 bucks just the that gaint brand name apple slapped onto the Ipod

You know the LCD screen to replace costs more the Ipod itself (personal experance with a friend)
And the batteries (old ones) cost 200 to replace...only lasted liek 2 years

Get Creative Zen! that have that portable media player thingy that has 20 Gigs..(i think) that plays movies, songs, and etc. and its the same price as that "i pod photo color thing"

yeah but i spent 3K on my ipod back 1 year ago. got free JBL Duet speakers (costs 500HKD). furthermore i only spent like 440 on that plan and got like 5 new ones already. i dent the back of mine recently when i pulled the charger cord and it hit the edge of the cupboard below. so i plan to bash it a bit more and over charge it will the battery fucks up and i go get a new one :>

creatve zen is one big ass mother fucker which will never fit in your pocket. friends at work have the mirco and it has no games and the controls suck. the best one i seen so far is the panasonic one with the XY axis lay out and its color as well and smaller.

i believe i got a good deal so far. i plan to get the plan again at the end of this year. i recon if i keep getting it i will be able to get a 4th gen one some day.

however i know that he 4th gen is cheaper, so i will complain of my loss and hope to get a 40G one :>

Creative Zen Touch is the best on the market at the moment in my opinion and so far I've converted sooo many people to get the Creative over the Apple and will continue to do so as I don't like seeing people ripped off.

I bought the Zen Mirco (a black one) recently and i agree with the controls. Its not as good as the ipod, since it is a bit too sensitive (you definately need it on low sensitivity in order for it to work good). But even with that small problem, i still like it over the ipod mini...personally i hate the mini's color choices. And the mirco also has radio and 5 gb of storage and a replacable/removable battery.
