Only paid app I've got is Beatmaker... It's a decent app to jot down ideas, but it needs a lot more improvement to be of any decent use to me

Out of the Free apps, the ones worth noting for me are:

Pageonce (Personal assistant, access all your information, all in one place)
Where (Map locator of PoI, the gas stations on there have realtime Gas Price information)
SportsTap (For my Football (Soccer) scores)
AirSharing (For file transfer)
Speedtest (Bandwidth test)
SpeedBox (How fast you're traveling)
Hanoi (Game)
Labrynth Lite (Game)
Cube Runner (Very simple, Very addictive game, Highly recommend)

I got a rally good technique for getting great apps for free. Every few days, I search "temporarily free", "limited time offer", and other phrases along the same lines in the apps store.... and I get apps that would otherwise cost me money.

As of right now I have

Best apps:
midomi/Shazam - Great combo of apps that can ID music
Cube Runner - really fun game
AirSharing - file sharing between your iPhone and computer (got it while it was free)
21 Pro - Great blackjack app....has ads, but its free...
SolFree - Really good solitaire game
Trace - fun platformer with elements of Line Runner
Lightsaber - speaks for itself
FakeCalls - new app that simulates a call.. great when u want to cut a conversation short (free until Nov 4)... still needs a lot of work to be perfect... but why not get it while its free.

Its called "Iheartradio"

Its in the Top 25 Free part on the appstore right now (2 Nov).

I like it because I can listen to my favorite local radio station from anywhere in the world via my iPod, which is badass.

My favorite apps/games are:

BMlite - shit graphics and quite stupid, but drifting a F1 car is really cool
Brain Tuner - a great brain training game.
Checkers - Multilayer or single with different levels of difficulty.
Dictionaire - A fantastic non internet based dictionary.
Labyrinth - Very fun game.
Zippo - Awesome app.
Hanoi - very good fun but a little hard.
Subway lite - Also a great puzzle game.

All these are free!

Is the iPod Touch worth the money? I was planning on treating myself by buying one. I was just wondering what the app for measuring your car's horsepower is called. Is it worth buying? I'm planning to use it for internet usage, music, quite a but of video, gaming, and maybe a dictionary.

Iphone offers full time internet connectivity and it has a camera.

I would go for the phone. It will also save you from carrying around the touch and your phone all the time.
