Best way of connecting a Ipod to a car radio

what is the best way?keep on mind that it must work in a few cars. The main reason i want to do this is because i will be drivining for over 3400 km in germany and italy in just over a week! So i really need music. However i have no idea what car i will get. So what can i do?

Sheesh, do I have to read the thread to you or something? 2 people suggested using AUX inputs as well. There's really not much else you can do besides that.....

You're probably out of luck then. Better just burn a bunch of CDs or just use your headphones.

that is because two friends of mine have to differant brands and both are shit. I asked if there is one that could even be ok.
