I'd swap out that power supply as soon as you can afford it, I kept upgrading my stuff and then one day - BANG! Lost the processor and some of the C Drive was corrupted so I always always 'over configure' on the PSU. If you are not going to upgrade then I think what you got is fine. Must say I do not like the Vista resource bloat much (I think that the disable everything not needed advice is correct) and the advantage over XP is not that great unless you are going to 64 bit IMHO.

To add to that list, a friend of mine had some serious issues getting Blu Ray movie playback working on Vista. Even though the laptop he bought came with the "right" software.

I would personally hold off until Win 7 comes out. It doesn't seem like it will take too long and in the interim I just don't see a whole lot of benefit to Vista. Although live previous in Alt-tab are awesome.

I can testify that with the installed Chinese language pack, there is no need for that POS software NJ Star. I'm pretty sure Nero will work correctly.

Well i finally got the last bits in yesterday and put it together, no problems there but i think going with vista may have been a bad idea :/ For starters the damn thing doesnt even stop cracking (you know, the kind of cracking it does when its working) my old comp would just shut up if it was doing nothing or just playing a vid while this one is still going at full power even when i put it to sleep..... which it wont wake up from images/smilies/dry.gif then there's the games.... it wont install shortcuts, not in the start menu or desktop, got 3 demos sofar and none of em put any shortcuts, and sofar only the crysis demo actually works, the gothic 3 demo just gives an error when i try to start it and the ceasar 4 demo just crashes on the loading screen........ so ya, not happy images/smilies/cry.gif

Install XP as a second OS (dual boot). As I said before, there are still a lot of programs that are not full compatible with Vista.
