Rep Power: 18 ![]() | I'm not very versed in computer fans. So it'd be great if someone can link me to something that can help me fit in these exhaust areas: ![]() Here's the Original without hte red boxes. I dont particularly see any clips/holes that i can use to help mount new fans. Is there some adapter i need? My CPU is running hot with the case cover on, over 68C loaded, but it's good temp without it. I suspect it's the lack of air flow in my case.

| just curious, do you have a fan on the side? And what model is your CPU fan? | |

| your case might not be designed to have fans back there. however, you can always drill a hole for each screw you'd put in, or just use self tapping sheet metal screws. looks like you might be able to fit two 80mm fans there, but measure first. then do some research on those fans, say at Newegg.com, and find some that have low noise and high airflow. hope that helps. | |

| If you drill the holes for the fans, if possible remove all the parts. Metal shavings are not good for any computer parts. If you have to keep the stuff in, cover as much as possible, and use lots of compressed air afterwards. And, measure twice, cut once. ![]() | |

| .dk beauty | And you might want to remove the area behind the fans, it is damn noisy to force that much air through those holes (speaking from experience here) just get some pliers.

| It doesn't look like fans will fit there.. rent a drill and 114mm (4.5") holesaw and cut a nice hole for a 120mm fan in the side panel. Try to get as close to the CPU as you can. You could mount it as an exhaust or intake, though I think intake would work better. Experiment with both. The airflow of the 120mm fan should push some air out the back vents as well.As for the fan itself, depends on how much you're willing to spend, $15 is probably enough. I recommend the Vantec Stealth cos it gives enough airflow without being that loud. Here it is at the 'egg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999614 .

| I'd say buy a better case! You can get a case as good as a Jeantech Phong for next to nothing and it'll save your components from an early grave! ![]() http://www.pcpro.co.uk/custompc/revi...ech-phong.html | |

I might seriously think of buying a new case since the temperature is quite noticeably dangerous when i have the case cover on. It went from 34C CPU to 50C CPU IDLING!!! Wow, i want this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129145

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | Sorry Jeffy, totally skipped over your post. No fan on the side panel, actually there's only one fan now(in the front bottom* that's blowing air in, i might reverse it but the front of the case doesn't even have holes so it's not really blowing anywhere). CPU fan is the stock HSF that came with my AMD Sempron64. The fan on the CPU works fine... it's just the air being pushed out of the cpu is trapped within the case. I need some exhaust fans. *my case is a desktop so it's actually lying like it shows on the picture. so bottom front implies front LEFT. Anyways...

Car: Toyota MR2 Mk1, Toyota MR2 Mk1 SC, Peugeot 309 Rep Power: 19 ![]() ![]() | I second Vette Boss's opinion on the fans - get some Vantec Stealth fans. They're a bit pricier, but I've used 4 other manufacturers of fans as well (Akasa, ThermalTake, Coolermaster and Zalman) and frankly the Vantecs are noticably better. I've now got my case (A ThermalTake XaserII) kitted out with 12cm and 8cm Vantec Stealth fans (granted, attached to an Akasa fan controller) and I'm happy with them all. Quiet with good performance...

Currently undergoing a suspension upgrade... 1987 Toyota MR2 Mk1 SC - A project car that had Headgasket issues when I bought it. I've never driven it... yet... |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | My friend pointed out to me that I should just leave off the cover and just stick the computer under a small table. I think i'm gonna try this and see if my house burns down after a few days.
