Exaclty...i dunno why but i see the quicktime formats never change...the ones on the comps we have have WMP from like 1998 or something...

Convert from wmv to MPEG, use TMPGEnc

vlc can be run without installation, i think. try it at home, it's great for those incomplete or unreadable video files
