Default e-mail issue.

This is really weird, and I hope it's something simple.

Using Mail (OS X) - Any e-mail I send to myself, is not coming through when I try to receive it (on mail or outlook). E-mails I send to my gmail are fine.

Outlook - e-mails sent to myself are working fine.

Why, all of a sudden, would I not be able to send myself e-mails using Mail?

Thanks.

Okay. I did more testing.

Using Mail. If I send a message to my own address with no subject (or just one character in subject line), it's not coming through. If I put a few characters, it works fine.

I logged onto my webmail account in safari, and the same issue.

I guess the problem is just isolated to my mac.

I sent a message from my gmail account to my own gmail account on the mac with no subject. And it works, But sending from my gmail to earthlink account with no subject on the mac fails (but works on the windows machine).

So basically e-mails messages sent to my earthlink address from my mac with no subject (using any application) aren't going through. Where do I begin?

I think the issue is solved. Logged into my earthlink account and the spam blocker was set to medium (a couple of days ago I transferred from Sprint/Embarq to earthlink direct). Message sent from my mac with no subject are coming through now.

I'm still not sure why it only did this when going through my mac, not the windows pc.

That is odd. I was going to ask if it was a POP3 account with an ISP and then ask if they may be blocking it since that's what I've seen. Usually it could be that it thought it was spam on how your Mail program puts together a message addressed to the same person.
