Firefox issue

I'm trying to save a pdf file from one of those stupid flash laden sites ie hollywood images/smilies/dry.gif

and i keep getting this:

No [ok] [cancel] box below, enter won't work either, and reloading the site gives the same thing. Any workaround?

I've had this problem before. Open NOTEPAD Start --> run --> NOTEPAD (enter)
Enter the following in notepad:

XCOPY %1 "C:\"

(replace the "c:\" with a different path if you wish)

Save it as "savefile.bat" or something .BAT and then close Notepad. When the Firefox box comes up, select the "Open With" option and direct it to the savefile.bat you just created. Vwalla.

Work with tab? And when it dissapears, you assume you're on the "OK" knob?

Anyways, when you open a PDF, there's also an option "save copy"

Tabbing makes it go back to the top. And i kind of have to open the pdf before i can save it

How about clicking on a PDF link that does work and checking the "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." box, then trying the Hollywood PDF again?

^ Sounds like an idea.

I find that when I click "open with" it still saves a copy anyway. Probably a stupid suggestion.

or copy the link to the PDF and try to open the URL from inside FoxIt or Adaobe or whatever you are using.

That won't work since i can't find the link tiself, it's one of those flash generated click then random link is generated type, the link that is given with the download doesn't work when pasting in url bar.

Anyway, forget it, i got another pdf with pretty much the same content, just needed one page off it.

Create a new profile and see if it happens there. An extension has corrupted your settings somewhere.
