Default Free guestbook without ads??

I have a couple of websites and I use bravenet guestbooks. For about $55 per year I can get the "pro" guestbook without annoying pop-up ads.
I've had some problems with bravenet, and wouldn't mind changing...

So, I am wondering if there is anyone that offers a free, easy to set up guestbook service without ads..?

Thanks in advance images/smilies/biggrin.gif

if you can use php/mySQL on your site, then there are TONS of free guestbooks pre-built that you can easily install on your site for free:
http://hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_an...oks/index.html
(some of those are commercial, but there are loads of free ones)

Some even store the entires in a text file so you don't even need a database, but I suggest that you use mySQL as it is more efficient and secure.

I haven't looked at the particular one, but for most pre-built php scripts you basically just upload the files via FTP, edit the config file, set up a databse if needed (hopefully your webhost has phpMyAdmin available to you), and maybe CHMOD a few files and you should be all good.
