Default Good free CD/DVD burning software?

Can anyone recommend me some free cd/dvd burning software?

I've tried commercial apps like Nero and think it's way too bloated and expensive. Is there anything out there for free or cheap thats simliar to the main Nero Burning ROM application without all the extras for free?

Anybody who has ever bought a DVD writer should have a copy of Nero Lite or Roxio Media Creator lying around, and they'll probably let you borrow it.

I personally use Roxio Easy Media Creator 9, which was 'free' to me. It has a huge number of individual apps but I only really use the CD/DVD copier part.

Are you looking basic burning software, or authoring software?

Infra Recorder is a front-end for the open source cdrecord binaries for Windows. It burns all formats, but it craps out sometimes.

I use DeepBurner (the free version), which burns all formats except for DL DVD / DVD-RAM.

Nero, minus all the side programs.

Just Nero Burning Rom

Ashampoo is pretty much like Nero except it doesn't suck ass. German folks make it too.
