Looks are not what I'm after, but the usefulness..I can tell you right now this will become almost like a sidekick :p

I don't think the Android phones will offer anything new per se, it's just a Google way of doing things I like to think. Hotmail was around for ages before Gmail came around, same for many of Google's other services.

I think it should be a pretty stable and light OS, and with good app support it should be a winner. Although I'm waiting to see Android offerings from other manufacturers since HTC's hardware isn't the nicest. Okay, that's a lot of assuming and hoping on my part... but Google hasn't disappointed thus far.

See I don't know about that. In my experience Google software is not nearly as good as their online services so I am pretty sceptical.

How do you know that the two parts of the front dont fit together properly have you physically inspected one. It looks good to me if a bit long for my suit pocket. Again early adopters buy them up so they can hear about the bugs fix them and release a second better version for less money.

^ I think by the parts not fitting he is referring to the rounded edges of the two parts that make up the front... it's more of a design flaw really, not a case of bad workmanship.

Yep, now I just have to save up for an Experia X1 or Touch Pro and put it on there. Should work fine, since they are both HTC hardware.

Everyone thinks Android will eventually run on their smartphone... it's only working on a few HTC devices and it's crap for now.

So you mean to tell me that the first release of a piece of open-source software has room for improvement!? They should just give up now, because competing with the flawlessness that is available now could never be achieved. And on top of that they think that the OS could be adapted to different hardware? No one has even done that.

Its a great concept, long overdue. But that phone is ugly as ****! Also the gimped capabilities are a major turn off, I use video recording and my stereo bluetooth headset very often.
I'll stick with my blackjack. Not heading to t-mobile anytime soon anyway.

Liking Android alot and waiting for the big guns to make phone out of it. For now the features are just too big of a downgrade. I'll probally buy 5800XM(can't go wrong with that price images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I agree that I'd like to see Android come out on more phones, but how is HTC not a "big gun" of the mobile industry?

Well they aren't exactly big as in size in this industery, but what i meant is that some of the bigger manufacturers would come up with a Android phone so we can see quality camera modules(just a thing that's become important for me). I guess it have been rumored that Moto is next on line releasing Android phone. Dunno if Samsung is part of the Android camp? Nokia isn't joining to Android party for now at least.
