Default HARD DISK GONE BAD...

Wassup.

Yesterday after I exited mIRC, and restarted my PC, I got an error saying that :

"Predicted Disk Failure. backup the data and Remove the disk and replace it.....

This is my new 120 GB Disk and it has over 50 GB of media in it. All the TG, FG and about 4700 mp3s are on this disk..

Is it because of a virus or something. two days earlier my friends disk went mad...

At the moment i've removed the disk and will soon buy a new one and save all the data on it...

help needed....

Sounds like it's just a bad disc. Contact the manufacturer.

Yep even new hard disks can just fail.

I have got four friends whose hard disks failed in the first two years after they had bought them. None of whitch was used intensively.

Not only to save space propably, but also not to lose your immense collection in case of a mishap.
