Default Help with my new controller

I just got a Mad Catz Gamepad 400, which is sort of an XBOX style gamepad for the pc. It's working great, but like an XBOX controller, the back (or top?) side has buttons that work sort of like pedals. I wanted to set those buttons as LFS accelerator and brake keys, but they are just identified as buttons. Can anyone help me change that?

It depends on how Windows recognizes those. If they are recognized as axis then they can be used for analog throttle or brake. But if they are recognized as buttons you can only use them as on-off type of manner.

You should try to download the drivers from the maker of the controller. Usually they have special drivers and programs that give the controllers more options. Like it happened to my Driving Force, it's designed for the PS2 but it also works with a PC. I just downloaded the software suit and worked perfectly.

PS: You could also have bought a wired Xbox 360 pad, which also works on a PC. I've got one and works brilliantly!!!

Are XBOX controllers USB or do I need an adapter. PC controllers are so damn expensive compared to console controllers...

I still cant get the computer to regonize the trigger buttons as analog buttons rather than just normal buttons.

The Xbox 360 Controller (the wired one) it's a simple USB so if you buy one you only have to plug it to your computer and enjoy ! images/smilies/wink.gif

PS: I just tried it with the Tomb Raider Anniversay PC Demo and it worked perfectly. Nice!!! images/smilies/biggrin.gif
