Your Wi-Fi network has a 10.0.xxx.xxx adress? I doubt it... should be something with 192.168.xxx.xxx
Anyway: Open an FTP Server of your liking on one computer and a client on the other...

Sorted it with a reboot and aye, my home IP is a 10.0.x.x. one, take it thats not a good thing ?

That's fine 10.xx and 192.168.xx are both private IP ranges.
