I'm guessing Solberg means protect the data from getting into the wrong hands, not protect it from being lost.

I'm not talking about it getting lost or stolen. I can use common sense to prevent that.

I mean password protection or encryption.

As long as the Allies don't get hold of it, you'll be right.

I know, I'm not helping, I'll show myself out.

Does it take long to read or encrypt files? Let's say you want a folder with personal documents stored in it.

Dunno, never tried it myself. I just know it comes highly recommended and that companies like Corsair stick it on their USB sticks.

So anyone tried that truecrpty program?

I need to encrypt my external hard drive, so those cunts at the airport can't see what I'm brining home.

I downloaded it but didn't install it. It seems annoying as from what I understand you need to install the program on every computer you want to plug your storage device into.

To the best of my knowledge, you have no other choice. FAT32 doesn't support encryption natively.
