How to setup a server for mIRC on a lan??/

The title pretty much explains itself clearly. I'm trying to setup a server for mIRC on a local area network, so that all my mates can text each other without having to setup different accounts for MSN or other online IM programs.

If it's too much of a hassle, then please advise me on which other chatting programs I can use to be able to send IM across the lan.

-edit : Skype will prob do the trick as well, I might give that a shot, but I want to try mIRC first, since it's small and uses almost no resource at all.

Ventrillo will do it if you can get an older version, the newer ones have a 5 or 8 person limit on the free license. It uses almost no resources and also has voice chat.

Looks like I forgot everything about mIRC.

anyway tis been sorted out, IRC now works perfectly under LAN.
