Haha that's so cool...sitting behind your computer using a remote images/smilies/mrgreen.gif

images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/wink.gif
When I drab it upstairs and use it as a media center on my TV, it's nice to have a remote. images/smilies/wink.gif

I also use my computer for playing all of my music, so having a remote for my "stereo" is nice. images/smilies/smile.gif

Ah. 128 MB or did you waste $ on a 256 MB? And if you really want performance, you should get this like I did:

http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/35-186-110-05.JPG

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...186-110&depa=0

Having that on there will allow you to overclock it and get more FPS. images/smilies/smile.gif (Overclocking produces more heat and so you'll need a better heatsink/fan to cool it off. images/smilies/wink.gif)

the 128mb.

And I don't plan on overclocking yet, heck I didn't really need a new graphic card if it wasn't for my old POS lack of pixel shading support.

Now my comp will kick some serious asses images/smilies/twisted.gif

I just hope my powersupply will be enough, I'll be borderline as hell...

it's only a 250W

You can roughly see if you have enough with your 250W with this:

It'll run. On my old Dell, I ran this video card for a few weeks with a P4 2.4 GHz, 2 HDs and 2 CD drives (wait, actually I disconnected one as I was afraid of tripping it). Regardless, you should upgrade if you didn't buy a Dell or something like that.

I'm running a 505W myself. images/smilies/smile.gif

I know this thread is old ... but I always feel at home in computer threads. And .. since I've been a bit of a lurker I thought I'd add one comment images/smilies/smile.gif

Recently my 9700 pro started overheating and displaying all these blue and yellow streaks across my monitors. I was so upset. So I called the company I had custom build my computer (2 years ago) they said they would replace it. Much to my surprise .. they replaced it with a 9800 pro 128 MB and all I had to do was send my 9700 pro back! I got an upgrade for free images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Hey Viper, they updated the VGA Silencer. There are now different versions for ATI and nVidia cards. I got the 9800 Pro about two months ago for only $130 (check out http://www.fatwallet.com for good deals).

It's not great. Go for a 6600 GT if you're wanting an upgrade. Best value card out there in my op. But PCI Express is best, time for a mobo upgrade everyone! images/smilies/mad.gif

Also, my fans are lovely and quiet. But it's often the acoustics of your case that can drown the sound.

Pretty nice, but that one seems a lot taller and would just take up another PCI slot probably. Point being, mine's fine. images/smilies/tongue.gif
