hey guys, i've been using this for about a week now and i noticed that the battery only lasts 3 hours when i fully charge it.

in result i am EXTREMLY worried and wondering, is this right?!

so could u guys gimme some word on it. if it helps i can tell u the specs.

Seems right to me. My IBM Laptop lasts about 3 Hours too. You can expand this rate with the IBM Software, which allows you to run it at lower MHz or Monitor Brightness though. Maybe there is a similar Software installed on your Laptop ?

If I run my Fujitsu... (bought it in July) on low brightness with speakers off, WLAN off and brightness set to the lowest... I could browse the net with a LAN port for about 4.5 hrs before shutting it down on its own

If you want to preserve your battery life, look in your manual for any built in software for calibrating your battery.

If there isn't one, every now and then you should let your battery run until it gets so low that your notebook shuts down. After that, fully charge it. Do the same process again one or two more times.

You should only really do that if you notice a change in your battery's life, but it will help preserve it.
