Default I have a problem

There is this blue circle with a question mark blinking in my tray and it blinks from the blue circle to a no-smoking kind of symbol and is says "System Alert!" And when I click on it, it takes me to a website of one of those anti-spyware programs (SpyDawn) that scans your computer and and then tells you to pay. I think it is bullshit because i have Mcafee 2007 and if it was a real virus it would have detected it. How do I get rid of this shit because it won't go away?
