Get the Canon IXUS. Newest one. They're the best.

Justin: Get a bigger card. Much bigger. I take all my pics at max resolution, and they're 1-2MB a piece. I bought a 512MB card with my camera, and haven't looked back. You're gonna need it, too - when you go to a car show, you want to be able to stuff 100-200 pics on it. Also, if you go on vacation for a week, something like a 256 or a 512 will hold a week's worth of pictures, and no need to worry about running out of space.

Get a 256, or better yet, a 512. You won't regret it.

Quantity, my friend, not quality. We're talking about a 5MP camera here. You need a big memory card to store a day's worth of pictures. The quality of them, as we all know, depends on Syder.

???? Why is what? As I explained, with 5MP capability, your pics are gonna be 2-4MB each at max res, thus the need for a bigger card. And the quality of any picture depends on the photog, in this case, you. Isn't it obvious? The quality of your pics doesn't depend on me..... images/smilies/lol.gif

Justin you will need a new bigger memory card but you don't have to go all the way to 512mb. I use a 256mb card myself and its more than enough.

Well I can imagine taking tons of pics at the autoshow.

I would def want to have more than I need than to limit pic taking due to space shortage.

Other than An Autoshow I wouldnt take that many pics.

Would a 512 be worth it or just get a 256?

for the price diff, go with 512..

my cam is 3.2mp and with a 128mb I have to switch to 2mp to get 150 or so pics on my card.

so with 4mp youd need 256, with 5mp you'd need somewhere between 256 and 512.. but having more space is never an issue.

also consider that if you travel, you cant empty it... so. go for 512
