Car: 1988 Mini Cooper, 1998 MB E55 AMG Rep Power: 10 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are there any invisible shield users lurking on this forum? I'm currently interested in obtaining one for my Samsung Blackjack, but have some questions: 1) Is it difficult to apply? I hear that you can stuff your device up thanks to the application liquid if you're not careful. 2) Is it really that strong? I mean, if I drop my phone from say 1 feet, will the thing stop scratches (I know the shield doesn't cushion the device in a drop)? 3) Does it peel off easily? Does it come off about a month or so after application? |

I don't know how hard it is to apply, I had the kid at the kiosk on the mall put it on for a small fee.

Car: Toyota MR2 Mk1, Toyota MR2 Mk1 SC, Peugeot 309 Rep Power: 19 ![]() ![]() | Hiya! I bought mine (got them shipped over from the States) around Nov/Dec '06. I got one each for my iPod, SE mobile (W810i) and Apple Remote (gets a lot of abuse). I love it - when I replace my phone, I'll be getting Invisible Shield again... My phone still looks in very good condition, despite being dropped countless times when I work in the workshop, from hand and head height (yeah, I'm clumsy). Looking at my phone, the only imperfections are due to a couple of spots where I lost my patience when applying the shield and there are tiny air bubbles - but not really noticeable. My iPod is white - same with the remote. The disadvantage is that these show up the dirt, particularly at the edges of the invisible shield. However, the iPod also gets some serious abuse, and it still looks very good (my real only worry with the iPod - and reason for getting IS - was that the screen would get scratched beyond visibility with my useage - it's still great). Compared to all other covers I've had for the iPod and my other phones, Invisible sheild is by far my favouite - and the first time I've thought it was worth the money. Quote:
However, I think it took me over an hour for the iPod and same again for the mobile just because I was being so careful. I definitely wouldn't take my time - avoid rushing and you'll get a quality result. Have a soft cloth handy to help remove the smaller air bubbles, plus a towel to dry up any excess. Plus the other bits they recommend. Start on something small - the first bit I did was the battery cover of my mobile. Leave the important bits - e.g. the screens - till last, when you should have a better feel for it. Oh - the tricky bit is where you line up the shield with the edges. I made a bit of a muck up with this on the iPod. I Removed it (quickly before it started to set) and tried again, but even then I didn't get it right, so it doesn't line up as well as I'd like - but it's not that far out. When I do it again, I'll be much more careful to practice where I'm going to line it up before removing the film from the backing paper and starting to apply it. Quote:

![]() I promise you, I don't work for them. But I really do think it's a great product and recommend it to anyone who asks about it... ![]() -Max

| Hedgehog Sandwich | Maybe I should get one of these for my PSP. Does it repair scratches (I'm guessing the liquid fills any in)? I have a large scratch on the screen and it generally gets bashed about, so some protection/repair would be good. ![]() |

Car: Toyota MR2 Mk1, Toyota MR2 Mk1 SC, Peugeot 309 Rep Power: 19 ![]() ![]() | No idea, I'm afraid. I got the mobile out the box, checked it worked, charged it up and applied the invisible shield... Same for the remote (it was my second one after the first got a little... destroyed). And my iPod, I used their cleaning & scratch removal paste stuff (AppleSauce I think? ) to remove scratches and blemishes before I applied the Invisible Shield. So I'm afraid my stuff was scratch-free before hand...

| I got a Protech full body shield a few days ago for my Samsung P2. Its basically the same as the invisible shield, but a bit cheaper and with free shipping to Australia as well as a lifetime warranty against it getting damaged (only the skin, not whatever it's attached to) or falling off. It was really easy to put on, I had a few little issues with some larger bubbles but they were fixed easily. In the few days that I've had it on it's been brilliant, I'm not sure about how much it differs from the Invisible shield, I think the only major difference is how you put it on, but I wouldn't hesitate getting another one. | |

The one for my W810i doesn't cover the whole phone either, but that's not really been an issue - plus I don't really care too much about the bits it's not covered (apart from the camera lens, of course) - the most important bit for me was the screen...

| I'm thinking of getting one for my MacBook. I like the idea of all the all around protection without altering the appearance. Still have to find a nice, heavily padded case though. | |

| I've put it on a couple of iPods now, I won't take a new iPod out of the box until the Invisible Shield comes out for it. I put it on my iPhone twice (iPhone got replaced) but just recently took it off. The back piece usually wraps around the sides, and with the curves of the iPhone the shield design for it was awkward with tear drop shaped inserts, etc. It started to peel and get dirt/grime inside it so I took off the back piece but left the screen cover on. | |

| I just put one of these on my Zune last night and so far I like it. I feel like I don't have to baby it anymore to keep it looking nice. Unlike other protectors I've used I really feel like I can rough this one up. My only worry is that the corners are uncovered so I'm afraid they'll start looking bad. But I guess just having the corners looking bad is better than having the whole thing scratched up. Installation was a bit finicky and I ended up with a couple bubbles on the screen but they've been getting smaller so hopefully they'll go away completely. I was able to get mine for half price and I think it was worth it. I don't think I'd pay the whole $25 for it though.
