Left it on the passenger seat of my mums Laguna while i was working on it. Sun beating down. Everything i touched burnt my hand! Including my iPhone...
![]() Recovered from this I'm happy to say Anyone else had this error message before? Was quite surprised to see it to say the least!

Well, it'd have to be pretty hot.. :b I wouldn't be surprised if they've built in some sort of protection..

Ah the good old British summer. My HTC has done nothing like this but it's been sitting in a cool office all day.
![]() I remember the screen on my PSP going all funny after leaving it under the seat of my Dad's car a couple of years ago though.

It's gotta be really really really hot over a long time for that error to occur.

^ Leaving it on the seat of a large metallic object in today's weather? I'm not surprised. He did say everything you touch was boiling.

I don't think any schools are still in session around here.
Back on topic, that's gotta be the most user-friendly overheating I've ever seen. |

Nice to see they've thought about it.
You're doing a very bad thing to the battery there, the iPhone is trying to save you from yourself! |

Never had that with the iPhone, but I did have a Palm Treo 700w that did that once. Was camping and it was over 100 degrees. I left the phone inside the tent only to come back and it's sitting there beeping like mad with an error on screen saying battery overheating. I do wonder why it didn't just shut down though.

It was probably too much use of GrindR.

Yeah apparently the 3G S have been having that issue a fair bit and Apple hasn't said squat to the public about it lol.
