iPhone feeling the heat...

Left it on the passenger seat of my mums Laguna while i was working on it. Sun beating down. Everything i touched burnt my hand! Including my iPhone...

Anyone else had this error message before? Was quite surprised to see it to say the least!

Ah the good old British summer. My HTC has done nothing like this but it's been sitting in a cool office all day. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I remember the screen on my PSP going all funny after leaving it under the seat of my Dad's car a couple of years ago though. images/smilies/blink.gif

I don't think any schools are still in session around here.

Back on topic, that's gotta be the most user-friendly overheating I've ever seen.

Lucky. Schools close with (what the BBC is telling me) about 25 degrees Celcius? - we're around 31ish. They never close schools round here for anything other than snow. As far as i'm aware most schools have roofs and water supplies, which is really all you need.

Never had that with the iPhone, but I did have a Palm Treo 700w that did that once. Was camping and it was over 100 degrees. I left the phone inside the tent only to come back and it's sitting there beeping like mad with an error on screen saying battery overheating. I do wonder why it didn't just shut down though.

Yeah apparently the 3G S have been having that issue a fair bit and Apple hasn't said squat to the public about it lol.
