Ipod Touch vs. Archos 604 vs. Archos 605

Which do you think is the better one to buy? I'm looking to get one, i already have an Ipod Video but it only stays in my car cause i only use it for music. I had the Archos AV420 before the ipod and absolutely loved it. Here are the specs for each one:

Ive got an Ipod Touch and absolutley love it. I would tell you to go for the touch but i dont know what the archos is like so best thing i can think of is to go test them out somewhere.

+1 for the touch because the latest firmware has just been hacked and you can add other applications if you want.

I'd have the iPod Touch. Yes, I know its more likely to be nicked because it looks like an iPhone. Yes, I know it doesn't have the best technology in it. But its so cool. My friend has one, and I love it.

the only reason i might consider an Ipod over another brand of MP3 player is the conectivity with some head units. I mean having a head unit designed to accept input from an Ipod would be nice compared with however you would have to connect the other MP3 players

Sell and buy something that won't try to screw you in the ass. Like what chaos suggested. Or the upcoming A3 with more processing power.

Just about the only PMP out there that will enable you to watch either scene or kip's releases of TG without transcoding. images/smilies/wink.gif

When did it become popular to shit on the iPods? Or is it just jealousy? The Touch may not have blueraydrivenhighspeedCore2durothrusters but it's the best looking and most enjoyable to use out of any mp3 player you can think of.

Those Archos things look like plasticky peices of shit compared to the Touch, the buttons (lol buttons) Look like their going to feel loose after 2hrs of use, im aware that looks are not important to some people, some just want as much crap forced into a device as possible, who the fuck needs a microphone in their media player?

I have never had people walk up to me on the street and ask me about my N95 but the few times i take my Touch out of my pocket people ask about it, make of it what you want.

I used to have an archos and it was crap!

the hdd broke after 4 months and after i sent it in to get fixed a few days later the joystick didn`t respond. I got a free Archos 605 Wifi to replace it and thats much better but i would get the itouch.
